Carrots have beautiful orange skin that is firm and crisp. It makes a lovely crunch when cut or bitten into. Carrots can taste very sweet but sometimes have an earthy or bitter taste. They work well as a side dish for roast dinners, blended into smoothies and juices or as a snack.
